Job summary

Support the Software development team by understanding user requirements (from operations) and designing solutions to meet these requirements, often in tight timeframes. Continue user engagement to refine the requirements backlog and provide a suitable interface. Provide documentation and maintain industry standards where practicable.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

Assist in the design of software development projects

Engage with users and manage requirements backlog

Test software to determine suitability and raise suggested modifications

Provide regular reporting on new software functionality and/or identified bugs

Manage/oversee supporting Cloud based IT; such as AWS or similar

Manage software libraries to maintain version control

Develop personal IT associated skills

Ability to work alone, prioritise, work under pressure, and to meet strict deadlines.

Innovative mindset – must be able to problem solve under pressure and to meet operational timelines.

Self-starter; able to proactively prioritise, organise and innovate.

Bond with skilled, diverse, and often dispersed team.

Good understanding of Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.

Excellent understanding of software development and product life cycle.

Broad understanding of Cloud Based IT Infrastructure (such as AWS/Azure)
