Greeve Systems are a successful Systems Engineering company based on the idyllic Powys / Shropshire border. Our projects cover software, electronics and full system design and development.We offer bespoke design services to industry, taking concepts and designing for manufacture, prototyping, and small production builds. Greeve Systems is a small team of engineers and administrative staff with a wide range of skills and experience.The offices are sited in the small town of Welshpool, which has good train links to the West Midlands and North Wales.The town has local attractions such as Powys castle, and is within an hour of Snowdonia national park, and 90 minutes from the stunning Welsh coast.We are seeking experienced, forward-thinking design engineers both Software and Electronic with a drive for innovation, who want input into the growth and direction of the company.The role will offer opportunities for research and development into new technologies. Engineers will be heavily involved in design, full life cycle planning, and a variety of technically challenging work.Responsibilities:- Develop high-quality software design and architecture- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues- Conduct unit testing and integration testing to ensure software quality- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality standards- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trendsQualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field- Proven work experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C, C++ or python- Familiarity with source/version control tools such as git or subversion- Experience with software development methodologies and best practices (e.g., Agile, Scrum)- Must have 2+ years industry experience- Knowledge of software testing techniques and tools- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail- Strong communication and collaboration skillMust meet requirements to be UK security clearedNote: The specific qualifications may vary depending on the company's requirements.Job Types: Permanent, Full-timeSalary: Up to £40,000.00 per yearBenefits:FlexitimeOn-site parkingSchedule:FlexitimeMonday to FridayNo weekendsAbility to commute/relocate: Sy217DF: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Application question(s):Do you have industry experience in embedded C/C++ development or Linux applications development?Education:Bachelor's (preferred)Work Location: In person
