- 3+ years of engineering team management experience

- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

We are looking for Software Development Manager (SDM) to lead the team and the technical vision for innovative solutions for logging and monitoring the access to Amazon's resources. As a leader of the team, you will own the team roadmap, the architecture and vision for the products and you will provide hands on technical leadership to the team. You will have the opportunity to learn about various Amazon businesses and technologies.This is a very large scale initiative with plenty of opportunity to innovate and deliver, impacting systems across all Amazon businesses (Retail, Digital, Alexa, Ring, Whole Foods, Truck drivers, etc.)Successful candidates for this position must have experience in growing and coaching a highly qualified team of software engineers. They must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-driven and deliver high quality results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
