Ollie Stygall, from the SAM team says: “The SAM team is a small, but perfectly formed, tight knit unit that covers all aspects of software management within Enterprise IT. The estate’s software value is approximately £80 million and the team’s remit runs the gamut from day-to-day software purchases, ensuring version compliance and that all versions are up to date, support and maintenance contract renewals to name but a few. The team enjoys a close working relationship with the rest of the Commercial team as well as stakeholders across the business and external suppliers. Although the SAM team works primarily from home, it maintains a very close working relationship within the team, communicating regularly for both work matters and sometimes just to chat, fully embracing the EIT philosophy that EDF should be a fun place to work.”
