We are looking for Social Workers who are willing to innovate and create a real change to help us develop a first-class adult social care model. We are currently undertaking a change process to ensure that our system is the best it can be, and we require talented individuals to help us on this journey.
You will need to be a strong advocate of independence and reablement who puts the views and wishes of others at the heart of decision making. You will have the drive to learn new skills, keep your knowledge up to date and share it with colleagues. We have various opportunities within our new proposed structure which will include posts within our City-Wide Working Age Adults 16-65 Service, supporting individuals with physical and learning disabilities, and our Ageing Well Service covering the North and South of Sheffield which incorporates a number of specialisms including reablement and Hospital Social Work, and within our Mental Health Social Work Teams.
We are currently working on an improved offer to our staff which will include progression on completion of ASYE and further progression following that with a choice of options to meet individual need. We are undertaking a robust review of how we meet staff’s development needs and are investing significantly in the workforce in order to ensure that our offer to the people we work with is the best it can be.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
