Hartlepool is a vibrant and energetic town with growing prospects. As an authority we want to make Hartlepool the best it possibly can be and want dedicated, driven and committed staff to help us achieve that.
We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Social Worker in The Children’s Hub which is a fast paced multi-agency team where no two days are the same!
The Children’s Hub is an integrated single point of access across North Tees (Hartlepool and Stockton Borough Councils) providing multi-agency triage and assessment of safeguarding enquiries and requests for support relating to children and their families.
As a Social Worker in The Children’s Hub, you will play a key role in the daily screening and response to referrals about children living in the Hartlepool and Stockton area, alongside a well-established team of physically co-located multi-agency partners, and under the direction of the Team Manager’s and Assistant Team Manager’s.
The suitable candidate must be registered with SW England and must have at least two years post-qualifying direct experience of front line safeguarding of children. The successful candidate will be part of an enthusiastic, hardworking and motivated multi-agency team committed to delivering high quality services to children and their families. We are looking for someone who has a strong knowledge of the arrangements for safeguarding children together with a proven ability to work with and maintain excellent partnerships. You will need to be self-motivated, able to work at a fast pace and have excellent communication skills both oral and written.
The safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a high priority for the Council. We are passionate about providing excellent services and pride ourselves on the quality of service we offer. Our services for children and their families have been consistently judged as “Good” by Ofsted and this is the minimum standard we expect to maintain.
We offer an excellent working environment valuing supervision, training and opportunities for professional development. In Hartlepool, we take pride in the fact that we have consistently promoted Social Workers from within the service to the roles of Assistant Team Manager and Team Manager. This is testament to the commitment, dedication and faith we have in our staff team. Social Work vacancies in The Children’s Hub are rare due to a low turnover of staff. It is a well-established and stable team with no requirement for Agency Social Worker’s.
**WE ARE CURRENTLY ALSO OFFERING A RETENTION PAYMENT TO EXPERIENCED SOCIAL WORKERS WITH NO CONTRACTUAL TIE IN**
