Varra is partnered with a fantastic and ever-growing company based throughout the UK seeking several Children's Residential Support Workers to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis in the Exeter / Devon area.

PAY

• £12 per hour

Hours

• 40-48 hours per week
• Shift schedules including Monday-Sunday
• Occasional night stays

ROLE

• To motivate young people to engage in activities and take charge of their own life.
• To preserve the warm, welcoming culture and atmosphere of the residences.
• Handling difficult habits as necessary.
• Shielding children and young people against hazards to their welfare and health.
• To encourage the independence and wellbeing of the children and young people in the family, offer support.
• Keep the young people's environment secure.
• Ensuring student safety and keeping current with each student's care plan, guidelines, rewards system, and preferred communication medium.
• Supporting strenuous behaviours in a caring and safe manner.
• Create and preserve positive working connections with the employees, parents, social workers, and other experts who may be involved in the lives of the young people, such as psychologists.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Care experience (desirable)
• Full, Valid UK driver’s licence with no more than 6 points (essential)
• Flexible to work overtime/outside of core hours (essential)
• Strong communicator
