Job Introduction

The starting salary for this role is £21,295 per annum for 18 hours per week (pro-rata to full-time salary of £42,591).

Our Spelthorne Locality Team based in Ashford, Middlesex currently have the following part-time Senior Social Worker vacancies:

  • 1 x Fixed Term contract/ Secondment opportunity up to 31st March 2024 to cover maternity leave.
  • 1 x 12 month Fixed Term contract/ Secondment opportunity.

In your application, we would love to hear about your:

  • Professional qualification in Social Work and current registration with Social Work England
  • Safeguarding knowledge
  • Knowledge and experience of current legislation, including the Care Act and the Mental Capacity Act and its application to practice in a social care setting
  • Substantial post qualification professional experience as a Social Worker
  • Experience in carrying out safeguarding enquiries, carrying out assessments within the community and working with a diverse group of individuals and partner agencies
  • Commitment to your own professional development
  • Experience of providing professional supervision would be desirable but not essential

Applicants must hold a valid Driving Licence to drive in the UK and have access to a car.

As a Senior Social Worker at Surrey, we will put you in the best possible position to assess the social care needs of our service users, providing direct positive intervention to some of our more complex service users and support for their carers.
