Sulis Hospital have opportunities for enthusiastic Healthcare Assistants to join our busy Theatre team who can demonstrate excellent communication and organisation skills, and commitment to deliver the highest standards of patient care.
As a Theatre Healthcare Assistant at Sulis you will act as a valued member of our multi-disciplinary Theatre team and will be responsible for supporting the clinical team in the delivery of safe, high quality patient focused care, under the direction of Registered Practitioners.
You will be responsible for ensuring resources within the theatre department are used to optimum effect to ensure the highest quality patient care. Preparing the operating theatre for surgery; Daily checking of medicine stocks and providing assistance to professionals when performing specific clinics, clinical treatments for patients.
Acting as the support worker for patients undergoing surgery you will provide a high standard of patient centred care whilst ensuring patients retain their dignity and individuality. You will demonstrate your competence in the role with your effective communication skills, ability to demonstrate fluency and clarity at all levels and your positive manner and tact with patients, their relatives, carers and visitors.
Full-time 37.5 hours
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday 7.30-18.00/ 7.30-20.30/ 12.30-20.30. Saturdays/ On-call rota once competent
