Support Worker

Job Description

Job Purpose and work duties

We are looking for a Carer. Someone to join our team of carer's, to provide care and to look after my sister. She has a learning disability and has mobility issues but is a very happy person, with a good sense of humour, loves to talk and listen to music.

To assist with the day-to-day activities enabling the employer/ my sister to maintain an independent and fulfilling life that meets her chosen lifestyle.

Other duties will include:

Helping and supporting with

• Domestic tasks e.g., laundry, house cleaning and meal preparation.
• Personal Care (Showering and dressing)
• Shopping
• Outdoor walking/exercise
• Taking to appointments
• Assisting with leisure and community activities

• Mobility, ensuring the employers safety.
• Undertaking activities for employer
• Ensuring employers home is clean, hygienic, and safe.

Other requirements

• Working in a safe way and highlighting health and safety concerns
• Assisting with management of employer’s health risks
• Establish and maintain effective communication.
• Maintaining confidentiality
• Driver advantage but not essential
• Good sense of humour
• Flexible, reliable and honest
• DBS check and or references

Location

• Within the employer’s home and surrounding area of Dudley

Hours and rate of pay.

• 7 to 14 hours per week, plus holiday at 10.42 ph
