B41 is a brand new ward within the RUH which has recently opened, specialising in care of the elderly. Our patient require sub-acute care, meaning that they are not yet well enough to be discharged. When they are, our multidisciplinary team work together to plan for a discharge that is safe, and meet the needs of individual patients..

You will work within a team of healthcare professionals, working under the supervision of a qualified nurse. Your duties will include:
- Personal care duties (eg- washing, dressing and toileting).
- Nutrition and Hydration monitoring
- Blood glucose monitoring
- Clinical observations (Eg- Blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturations and temperature).
- Completion of relevant nursing care plans.
- Escalate any concerns to a qualified nurse.
- Use of manual handling
- Helping patients mobilise safely
