My London Care has several semi-residential placements in West London that are staffed 24 hours a day. We are collaborative, fast-paced, rewarding, and our goal is to support and guide our residents with parenting and independent living skills. We are looking for a Female Support Worker with relevant experience to join our team. Successful candidates will be responsible for providing emotional and practical support to our residents, helping them to live as independently as possible. This role requires excellent communication skills, an understanding of the needs of vulnerable people and family dynamics, and the ability to work with a variety of professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience in the social care or childcare sector and a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities.
- Provide emotional support to residents.
- Understand and input to individualised care plans for parents and children.
- Monitor and document progress and engagement.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other professionals.
- Be able to identify and respond to signs of distress and any safeguarding concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress including key-work sessions.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements:
- GCSE's in English and Maths
- Level 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent
- Experience in support work or childcare setting
- Enhanced DBS Check
Shifts and rota:
Our semi-residential placements are staffed 24 hours a day with sleeping night shifts. Shift patterns are flexible and can be agreed when an offer is made - all staff are required to complete a minimum of 4 shifts per week.
- Day 09:00 - 15:00
- Evening 15:00 - 21:00
- Night 21:00 - 09:00
Current availability: Evenings, Night Shift, Weekends (Weekday shift availability dependent on experience)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract
Part-time hours: 24-40 per week
Salary: £23,146.00-£23,655.00 per year
