As a Social Worker delivering Local Authority services with us you will receive a salary between £31,113 (ASYE) to £35,193 (37.5 hours per week) depending on level of experience and Agenda For Change terms and conditions including an NHS pension. Main Responsibilities
As the Social Worker you will hold a case load of clients, carry out Care Act Assessments, be responsible for Care Planning and case management of adults with a learning disability including being lead worker for safeguarding enquiries. You will be based primarily in Bath but will work across the whole of Bath and North East Somerset.
The role is part office based, and part working directly with service users either in a 1:1 capacity, in chairing meetings or working with other stakeholders such as carers, health professionals and providers.
The Ideal CandidateYou must be qualified with a social work degree or equivalent and be registered with Social Work England.
Hold a Full UK Driver’s License and have access to a car/vehicle
You will have experience in adult safeguarding and section 42 enquiries and report writing, as well as have a working knowledge of effective models of strength based personalised assessments, knowledge of current research and a working knowledge of current legislation.
You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
As you will be responsible for working with varied service users and complex cases, the role requires strong knowledge in learning disabilities and autism and confidence in the ability to hit the ground running. You’ll care for service users and their families in the way that you believe is best, delivering our high service standards, sharing best practice, and actively improving the way we work.
You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
