You will be joining the Real Estate division of DWS which is a full-service Real Estate manager with over EUR 75 billion in assets under management globally and EUR 33 billion in Europe that acquires and manages investments in individual assets or Real Estate portfolios on behalf of funds and separate accounts. The London-based portfolio management team raises and manages pan-European core and core-plus funds. The team reviews investment pipeline originated by local Transaction teams in UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and Poland and pursues selective opportunities in-line with investment guidelines.

Your key responsibilities
- Supporting the European Head of Portfolio Management on strategic partnerships with a range of international clients (with particular focus on Korean client base).
- Assist development of both single asset and multi-asset investment programmes/funds/SMAs
- Analysing investment opportunities through market research, in depth financial analysis, and complex financial modelling to support above capital raising initiatives
- Supporting two portfolio management teams on a number of Pan-European mandates with writing investor reports, memoranda, presentations.
- Presenting papers at transaction review and investment committee meetings as well as board meetings of the investment vehicles
- Establishing a good working relationship with clients responding to requests for information
- Creating and managing fund models to forecast performance and in particular estimate any performance fee / promote payments
- Managing the external fund valuers and co-ordinate the annual/quarterly valuations process
- Assisting on creating and implementing business plans, liaising with asset management and fund operations colleagues
- Supporting refinancing events and regular 3rd party debt reporting
- Create investment pipelines liaising with transaction teams and coordinating regular client calls
- Ensuring DWS research materials are shared and ad-hoc client calls organised to present latest houseviews
- Support the KYC / AML review of clients by requesting documentation from clients and corporate administrators to facilitate sign off
- Providing oversight and co-ordination of fund performance data liaising with relevant service providers e.g. MSCI / INREV and other internal /external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate submission of data.
- Supporting and promoting the DWS real estate business’ Environmental & Social Governance objectives in particular the preparation of annual fund sustainability plans
Your skills and experience
- Sound Commercial Real Estate experience in either Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), Private Equity, Transaction Advisory or Portfolio Management
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills and attention to detail – you will be required to communicate effectively and confidently with senior management and third parties
- Good understanding of accounting and experience in financial analysis and modelling with advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work in teams, under pressure, within tight deadlines, and with multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective in managing multi-disciplinary external teams
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands
- Educated to Bachelor’s degree level within a related financial subject or with relevant professional experience
- A second European language highly desirable
