Our client is an established care and education provider currently with either OUTSTANDING or GOOD homes. Investing in the staff they employ with regular training and supervision, our client is seeking to employ dedicated Youth workers for their children's home in Nottinghamshire. As a Residential Youth Support worker, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. You will provide a stimulating environment, conducive to the educational, personal and social development of the children as outlined on their education, health and care plans (EHCP).
Day to day actives include:
- Supporting our young people on amazing trips and activities (Even Disneyland Paris!)
- Acting as "corporate parents" providing a nurturing/caring/homely environment for our young people.
- Encourage and promote independance
We look for people to join our staff team who have the creativity and enthusiasm needed to deliver the best outcomes for the children and young people.
We are especially keen to hear from candidates with NVQ Level 3 in children and young people and these staff will receive enhanced payments!
*Must have experience working with young people*
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and young people and we expect all staff to share this commitment. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You will be expected to engage in annual safeguarding training, be familiar with key policies and ensure you know the steps to take should be made aware of a safeguarding or child protection concern.
