Join our dynamic team as a Security Installation Manager specializing in CCTV, Intruder, and Access systems. The post holder is required to:
· Ensure the company conducts its installation responsibilities in a way that fully meets our Health and Safety responsibilities and obligations.
· Lead the installation engineering team within the business including all subcontractors in the business.
· Manage day to day works, to ensure smooth and successful delivery of work.
· Maintain a close working relationship with Service Manager and Operations Director in order to review and improve business delivery as well as departments aims and objectives.
· Responsible for day to day escalations within the department to ensure issues can be resolved as needed
· Maintain staff by selecting and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities. Conducting interviews, reviews, technical assessments and audits.
· Dealing with HR related queries amongst your direct team members. This may require you to work with the HR Manager or Operations Director on high level HR issues where required.
· Engineers/Sub-contractors performance managed and monitored and issues addressed
· Provide hands-on assistance onsite when required
· Ensure installation stockholding is at functional levels in install engineer vehicles and within the stores
· Working with the install engineers and procurement coordinator to ensure that all returns or faulty equipment (on install) has been properly RMA’d with the manufacturer, we have a case (and RMA number) and the equipment is in the office ready to be processed within 3 business days.
· Take ultimate responsibility off all the works you manage which includes pre project technical evaluation, kit accuracy, installation quality and paperwork. This will include on occasion site based survey of works, audits on works and signing off works.
· Ensure smooth delivery of all projects
· Identify to the sales person and client contact any cost increase or additional works that are required to complete project works. Manage these cost increases to ensure they are covered by client agreement.
· Ensure all chargeable works are added and once completed highlighted as completed and ready to be invoiced.
· Schedule installation and project works for suitable time scales targeting a start date of no more than 4 weeks from receiving the order
· Produce risk assessment and method statements
· Demonstrate sound financial understanding. You will need to show strong commercial abilities to manage projects, working with engineers and procurement. You will ultimately be responsible for the profitability and smooth running of your works. You will be expected to report monthly on the profitability of jobs and project progress including the generation of work in progress reports.
· Conduct post installation project reviews with sales representative with the goal of learning lessons from project from cradle to grave
· You will be expected to achieve targets as set by the company, which will be based across a number of areas of business performance which include financial results, quality of works and certification
· Oversee projects conducted all over the UK which may involve travel to site where required for client or contractor meetings and whatever maybe required within the bounds of project delivery
· Ensure projects are installed within the allocated timescales. For instances where this is not achievable, whereby delays or issues are identified during the installation, these must be notified to your line manager without delay
· Providing reports as required by your line management, this will also include workload planning, defect reporting and cost analysis reporting
· Manage install engineer holidays and absences
· Checking and approving install engineer timesheets
· Working with Administrator to ensure that works are booked in with customers and customers are provided with relevant paperwork for completed works and required further actions
· Deal with customer queries and complaints relating to install works
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
