Experienced Social Worker required for work within Children & Families in the Devon area. 37 hours a week, 3 months + contracts based in coastal town. Beautiful area with lots of accommodation options in the Torquay area. Attractive rates of pay at 40.00ph for experienced workers
We are currently seeking Social Workers to join a busy Safeguarding & Family Support Team in Torbay. The Safeguarding and Family Support team within Torbay Council works with children and their families from birth to 18years. Social Workers within the team need to be competent in writing clear reports to strict deadlines and confident in presenting these within a variety of venues - Court, CLA reviews, CP reviews, resource meetings etc.
Successful applicants MUST BE EXPERIENCED in the work detailed above , and have a sound working knowledge of relevant childcare legislation, including the Care Planning Regs 2010. The work within the team is of a complex nature, either high end children in need, or child protection. Cases also progress to care proceedings where appropriate hence the need for knowledge around Court work and the statutory requirements for children who are looked after
Applicants need to be experienced in progressing child protection / CIN plans with specific measurable and timely interventions and be able to recognise when further intervention is required to protect the children within their case load and take the appropriate action to address this.
You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
