ASSISTANT YOUTH WORKER
Part Time Assistant Youth Worker- 7 hours per week – (JNC 5-8) (5)
2 Year Fixed Term Contract
We are looking for keen and motivated people who would like to support young people and assist in devising fun and educational activities/programmes, within our youth work sessions. Supporting young people on a 1-2-1 and in a groupwork setting to explore their aspirations, concerns and enable them to share their views.
You will be expected to attend training and development sessions of which you will be paid pro-rata in addition to the standard contract, which will be an additional evening monthly.
You will be working with young people aged 11-19 (up to 25 for young people with disability/additional needs
You will be required to work 2 evening youth work sessions per work, (Days to be confirmed) Whilst you will be assigned a youth project or youth centre to work in this may change depending on needs of the service.

The post holder will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. We work within a contextual safeguarding framework in partnership with other agencies and internal council departments
This role is deemed customer facing and as such you must have a command of spoken English which is sufficient to enable you to effectively perform the role. This requirement relates to Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
