Are you passionate about working with homeless or vulnerable adults? Do you have brilliant people skills and are able to demonstrate that you can engage vulnerable adults in services?
We are looking to a support worker to join the REST team. The REST team deliver out-reach and in-reach activities to support rough sleepers to engage with accommodation provision and the wider support services that they require. These roles are integral to the delivery of the service for rough sleepers in and around Derby.
Your skills will include:
- Being able to build trust and positive relationships with marginalised or vulnerable groups .
- Excellent listening, reflecting and interviewing skills, with the proven ability to inspire and create momentum and motivation for change.
- An ability to deliver effective advice, support, motivation and crisis interventions to vulnerable people.
This role forms part of a Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities grant funded project. The overall intention of the project is ‘ending rough sleeping for good’.
