Where: HMP Bristol – Southwest Prisons
We support people in prison around their drug and alcohol and related issues – including their family relationships.
In this role you will not only support the person in prison around their family needs and goals but you will also extend that support to their family in the community.
You will need to balance a supportive and empowering approach with also having a careful eye on risk and safeguarding concerns.
Working as part of a wider drug and alcohol service within the prison you will be a strong team player and able to work well with a range of partners including prison officers, probation and social work teams.
You will have experience of working with families with complex needs.
As well as getting the support of your line manager on site, you will also be part of a new South-West wide team of Family workers with opportunities to work collaboratively. You will also receive a range of training and development opportunities.
