Work With Us!
Are you passionate, playful & enthusiastic? If so, this is the perfect job for you.
Challengers offers fantastic training opportunities so no prior experience is needed. You must be dedicated, caring and able to work both in a team and individually. The role can be physically and emotionally challenging and you will be required to administer personal care and ensure the safeguarding of vulnerable children in our care. Why not channel your skills into something that offers a meaningful and powerful impact to the lives of children?
About us:
Challengers is an independent children’s charity that gives disabled children and young people the opportunity to play, have fun, and make friends in a safe and supportive environment.
Play is vital for every child’s happiness and development, but sadly too many disabled young people miss out on it every day. There are many barriers stopping disabled children from playing - from physical impairments and a lack of accessible play facilities, to simply a lack of time and support.
At Challengers, we remove these barriers by providing truly inclusive play and leisure opportunities that everyone can enjoy, and our non-exclusion policy means that we welcome every child and will always find a way to support their needs.
We have been passionate champions of inclusion since the charity was established in 1979, and more than 40 years on, Challengers has grown to support thousands of disabled children and young people across the South of England.
For many families, Challengers is a lifeline that they simply wouldn't be able to cope without. Families with disabled children can use our schemes as short breaks from care responsibilities to pursue other activities. They can relax, knowing that their child is safely cared for and having a great time with friends at Challengers.
Safeguarding
Challengers is committed to safeguarding and protecting the children and young people that we work with. As such all posts are subject to a safer recruitment process, including the disclosure of criminal records and vetting checks. We ensure that we have a range of policies and procedures in place which promote safeguarding and safer working practice across the organisation.
