About this job
We have a career progression opportunity for a Social Worker within our Assessment and Intervention Service.
You’ll manage complex cases, assess risk and plan intervention in a timely manner and, always, making sure that the children’s voices are heard and recorded consistently. We’ll also expect you to contribute to the team – helping us develop and improve standards and quality, helping us to achieve the best possible outcomes for our children and their families. You will be expected to work independently and demonstrate initiative as well as being a strong team player.
Our Children Social Care workforce is strong and growing, we have navigated the recent challenges with agility and resilience, and we are now entering our next phase of improvements. It is an exciting time to join the service as many initiatives and opportunities are being offered to staff who are committed and as passionate as we are.

Special requirements for this post
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on successful applicants including a Disclosure check. You will have completed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) and hold a recognised Social Work qualification and a current Social Work England Registration.
About you
You will need experience of working with children and their families to safeguard and promote their welfare. You will need experience in managing complex caseloads, be an analytical and curious practitioner who is committed to embrace our relational approach. We are looking for conscientious and compassionate people to grow our already established workforce.
