Job Title: Social Work Area Manager
Job Summary
We at Verovian Social Agency are looking for a competent and committed Social Work Area Manager to work in partnership with our clients based in Sandwell. The selected candidate will lead a team of social workers in a temporary role that starts immediately. The position is crucial in ensuring that our client's objective of making a positive difference in the lives of their patients is achieved to the highest possible standard.
The ideal candidate should have detailed knowledge of key legislation in Adult Social Care, including the Care Act 2014, and a proven track record of applying Strengths Based Practice Approaches. They should also be knowledgeable about Charging Reforms and possess the ability to maintain effective relationships with key partners and stakeholders. Additionally, the candidate should have strong project management skills.
Responsibilities:
- The individual who fills this position must be a highly skilled professional with extensive knowledge and expertise in their specific area of responsibility.
- They will be required to provide senior management with appropriate briefings, guidance, and advice and to develop frameworks for the direction, leadership, and growth of individual service areas.
- Their primary goal will be to ensure exceptional customer care and services for the residents of Sandwell.
- Lead and manage a team of social workers to ensure they are providing high-quality services to patients
- The job entails managing and enhancing the critical performance indicators for multiple service areasand ensuring that these areas maintain high-quality standards.
- It is the candidate's responsibility to implement the necessary policies and procedures. In addition, they should be able to provide cover for other Operational Managers within Adult Social Care and act as the Assistant Director's deputy when required.
- The candidate must possess knowledge and comprehension of the pertinent legislative and regulatory framework and government initiatives about their service area. This includes safeguarding and understanding the needs of vulnerable adults.
- Provide support, supervision, and direction to social workers to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Social Work or its equivalent
- Enhanced DBS
- Must be registered with SWE
- Eligibility to work in the UK
