Wessex Internet is a dynamic and fast-growing Internet Provider in the South West that is changing the way full fibre broadband is rolled out in rural areas. We design, build, and manage our own 3000km FTTP (Fibre to the Property) network in-house and are one of the leading suppliers making use of several Government funded voucher programmes. We are excited to be extending our network and bringing full fibre broadband to over 10,000 homes and businesses in the New Forest with connection aimed for February 2024.

The Role

The Engagement Manager will be accountable and have ownership of the full lifecycle of the network build programmes within their agreed area. You will be responsible for building both residential and commercial relationships. As an Engagement Manager you will manage and develop key relationships within the community including Parish/Town Councils, Key Employers within their zones, Societies, Clubs, Sports and Community Groups as well as local Wessex Internet champions.
As an Engagement Manager you will work closely with the Direct Sales Team to optimise their chances of achieving the % uptake required to surpass the sales target for that project. Ensuring the Direct Sales Team are available for community meetings and events is important for their and your own success is this role.
Engagement Manager’s will also be the main liaison between the Project/Land Access Team and keep the community informed via various platforms not limited to social media, LinkedIn, community groups on the progress of the project delivery.
As part of your role, you will develop and constantly review the build program in line with Wessex Internet’s development plans including supporting, where necessary, the delivery of projects through key stakeholder relationships within the communities that we are building to. You will also work closely with the marketing team helping to shape and deliver the right and relevant marketing message to the community.
Responsibilities
- Create awareness and demand for Wessex Internet
- Distribution of GDPR approved data to teams
- Management of projects to achieve targets
- Reignite and maintain engagement with key on-net contacts, key community influencers
- Introduce Wessex Internet into next strategic off-net build phases building key relationships and sales prospects
- Work with marketing to model suitable marketing plan for projects within region
- Awareness of potential or active challenges, changes, and developments in the market
- Develop effective sales strategies and ensure their timely implementation into the communities that you are working with
Requirements
- Strong Customer relationship management skills
- Organised and analytical with the ability to work well under pressure
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Confident liaising with and managing relationships with different stakeholders
- Have a strong ‘can do’ attitude that is motivational to the rest of the team
- Be a team player who is prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in alongside a small and dedicated team
- Ideally you have knowledge of broadband products including wireless and fibre
KPI’s
- Generate 20 orders and 90 leads per month
- Ensure a minimum of 2 community meetings per week
- Create key stakeholder engagement meetings to support land access agreements
- Log activity in Salesforce (calls, call backs, notes)
- 4 Business Referrals a month

Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 per annum, depending on experience
Role Type: Full Time/Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Office based near Blandford Forum, Dorset
Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays
