We at Optimal are now supporting our fabulous client in their search for an experienced and knowledgeable Social Media and Web Assistant to join an expanding team based in Halifax, who specialise in Live Events Technology.
This role will develop social media and website content and manage platforms on a daily basis, ensuring content is timely and innovative and built to attract our target audience. The individual may need to attend client meetings, site visits to venues, and deliver onsite events in the UK and possibly overseas (weekend work and extra hours onsite may be required).
Responsibilities:
- Writing social media posts and captions and updating social media pages
- Writing specific web pages ahead of any planned events
- Responding to customer feedback and maintaining communications online
- Creating social media campaigns to increase engagement and target new audiences
- Creating graphic and visual content for social media
- Carrying out research for team projects
- Sharing related content from partner brands and organisations with their social media audience
- Analysing social media numbers regularly
Requirements:
- Interest/knowledge of brands and how one is distinguished from another
- Interest in and knowledge of social media, specifically LinkedIn
- Interest in technology and digital innovations
- Experience of working with Microsoft Office suite (Excel/Word/PPT) – Adobe experience a benefit
- Has an interest in marketing, tradeshows, events and most importantly what makes people tick
- High level of written and spoken English
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and outgoing
- Able to establish productive relationships with people at all levels
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Positive and adaptable approach to problem-solving
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy
- Highly innovative and creative
- Experienced at managing supplier relationships
- Ensuring excellent customer service and quality delivery
Benefits:
- 20 days annual leave, plus bank holidays

Salary £23,000 – £27,000 dependant on experience, 37.5 hours per week
