It’s Time believes young people deserve more. We exist to make the world a better place for young adults who've experienced the loss of a parent by offering information, advice and support. We partner with like minded organisations to conduct research, produce educational resources, provide upskilling networks and run a supportive and informed online community.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a talented social media and digital community expert to bring insight, passion, and creativity to the It’s Time team. You will help to create and manage the day-to-day running of our campaigns to continue to grow, and sustain our online community, driving our social media strategy forward.

Key Responsibilities

● Content Creation: Create, edit, publish and share content that builds meaningful connections with our beneficiaries and wider audience to continue to grow and sustain our online community and encourage others to get involved with our cause

● Community Engagement:Monitor, post and respond across all social media channels (currently Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn) and develop new channels as appropriate

● Resource Hub Engagement: engage with our online community via Mighty Networks; continuing to create valuable and meaningful content for our subscribers including expanding our Resource Hub and exploring new Mini - Series ideas

● Live Stream: Lead on the delivery of any live stream events. This will include overall responsibility for the safe storage, setup, and use of the equipment. Provide technical support for both in-house and private hired recordings. Promote and run workshops for various audiences.

● Website Assist: regular updating of the website; ensuring content is up to date; has a consistent tone of brand voice; user journey is clear and performance of content is measured and meets the needs of the social media and marketing strategies

● Reporting: Benchmark, monitor, report and analyse results to improve performance, using tools such as Google analytics and others, so that amendments and improvements can be made where appropriate.

● Collaboration: Work with the wider team to identify content opportunities and produce the relevant materials (news items, thought leadership, podcasts, blogs, infographics etc.) and disseminate in the most appropriate digital channel.

● Ecosystem Coordination: including identifying new and managing existing partnerships

Person Specification

· Experience of creating engaging digital content marketing

· Experience of planning and supporting live stream and recorded events of a variety of size and style.

· Experience in managing online communities

· Experience of working within a marketing, PR, publications, or other communications context.

· Experience in using Mighty Networks (desirable)

· Experience of similar roles in a charitable organisation (desirable)

· Knowledge of design, photography and print production.

· Good time management skills and ability to work effectively under own supervision

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Computer literacy and ability to be administratively self servicing

· Ability to use own initiative and to work effectively alone and as part of a team.

· Well organised, able to manage own time, prioritise workload and meet deadlines

· Excellent communication and social skills and ability to speak and relate to people of varied backgrounds including tailoring messages to different audiences

· A creative flair that can be practically harnessed to create engaging communications content.

· Willingness to travel to in-person meetings and events on occasion.

Key information

● Reports to Operations and Fundraising Manager

● Virtual working with opportunity for in person meetings

● The appointment is for a permanent position, starting as soon as possible.

● Flexible working hours to be discussed to accommodate employee and charity needs, up to full time hours

● Annual Leave - 25 days (prorated to contracted hours)
