London: £33,000 - £37,000 pro rata (split between home and our London office)

About the role
The Social Media Officer will create and curate engaging social media content and coordinate social media activity across social media platforms. You will use your experience and expertise to enable supporters to have the best possible experience from Macmillan Cancer Support on social media.
About you
In this exciting role, you will create content and campaigns for Macmillan’s social media footprint, working with stakeholders from across the organisation.
You’ll be motivated to use your creativity and excellent knowledge of different platforms to come up with collaborative, impactful solutions to briefs, as well as driving innovation in our content approach for each channel. We're looking for someone who prides themselves in keeping up to date with social media trends, who is thorough in their work, with great attention to detail, and is a brilliant communicator. You will have copywriting, photo editing skills and experience of using native and third-party social media tools to optimise and evaluate social media activity.
You will use your experience and credibility to consult on content and moderation best practice to colleagues and inspire stakeholders by sharing the potential of social media to bring value to the lives of people living with cancer.

This role’s location is flexible with office and home-based options across the UK as well as a dual location – both home and in our London Office.
