Social Media Marketing Intern
Reporting to CEO
Role:
As a Social Media Intern, you will play a crucial role in organising, implementing, and posting daily social content across all our social channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, LinkedIn and Reddit. You will work closely with the CEO to assist with content creation, planning and community management. This internship offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in social media marketing, develop your skills in content creation and management, and learn about digital marketing strategies.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a Pet Supplies startup business during the initial growth stage where things are moving at a fast rate.
Responsibilities:
- Help build and maintain a social media content calendar, ensuring timely and consistent posting across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and Instagram
- Assist in tracking and analysing social media performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and others
- Help in the management of our community Facebook group and give suggestions on ways to grow the group
- Building engagement & visibility through community management
- Engaging with the local community and prospect customers to drive brand awareness and sales
- Developing in house content such as reels and Tiktok
- Keep up to date with trends across all key social media platforms
- Outreach to local community
- Uphold company image and tone of voice across all media channels
Requirements:
- Experience of creating content and managing socials
- Basic understanding of social media advertising and targeting.
- Creative thinking and ability to contribute innovative ideas.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Able to demonstrate how you have successfully grown a social media account or page (desirable)
- A self-starter and well organised.
- Excellent communicator, written and spoken.
- Own a dog (desirable)
- Proficient in Photoshop (desirable)
Contract length:
3 months, potential to be a permanent position dependent on the candidate.
