Position: Social Media Manager

Remote / office based: Monthly visit to office for a couple of days, plus team social.

Location: Unit 3, Trust Industrial Estate, Wilbury Way, Hitchin, SG4 0UZ

Reporting to: Head of Brand & E-Commerce

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + 10% performance related bonus.

The Position in a sentence: Responsible for the ownership and management of our organic social media channels and community, ensuring best in class content, community growth, engagement, customer acquisition and retention.

What you’ll need to deliver:

  • Responsible for devising and implementing the per-platform social strategies, to ensure maximum growth and success for our OGT social media channels.
  • Responsible for and overseeing the day-to-day management of our OGT social media channels, including creating, scheduling, and optimising content across a variety of platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok.
  • Responsible for and overseeing the day-to-day community management of our OGT social media channels alongside our Customer Care Manager, including responding to and engaging with public facing customer queries and comments.
  • Responsible for briefing and supporting the internal designer, to produce highly engaging and dynamic social media content for our social media channels.
  • Responsible for the development and creation of engaging, creative, and innovative UGC content for our OGT social media channels.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Brand & E-Commerce team to develop and execute photography and videography shoots, to capture high quality social media content.
  • Responsible for company-wide social media content calendar, including liaising with a variety of internal departments, to ensure their social media requirements are captured and activated where appropriate.
  • Responsible for producing an in-depth bi-weekly and monthly social media performance report for internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the analysis of weekly social media performance, using insights to shape future content decisions.
  • Responsible for community growth across our social media channels, hitting monthly follower, likes and subscriber KPIs.
  • You will monitor social media trends and industry competitors, identifying opportunities and risks, and making recommendations to drive business growth.
  • You will be proactive and explorative with new and emerging platforms and formats on social and encourage first use where appropriate.
  • You will ensure our D2C customer insights are at the heart of our content output and community engagement.
  • You will be a champion for social media across the business, including delivering social media workshops.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • A passion for all things social media
  • Previous experience working in a social media management role - managing a brand’s social presence (either in-house or agency side).
  • Solid understanding of the ever-evolving social media landscape, including platform development, and emerging trends.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively to senior stakeholders.
  • Be proactive and autonomous, taking ownership of your work and channel success.
  • Experience developing and delivering always-on content as well as award-winning social campaigns.
  • First-class people skills and the ability to form strong relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
