Job description

We are looking for an experienced and result-driven Social Media Executive to join our awesome marketing team! As a Social Media Executive at our company, you will be responsible for setting up, implementing and managing the overall company's social media marketing strategy. Digital marketing strategies are extremely important for our company's success, so your role will play a crucial role in achieving our business goals and objectives.

We are expecting you to have experience and a big passion for digital technologies and all digital marketing channels. You will manage multiple accounts (10+) and will report to the Group Head of Marketing, working closely with the Web Manager, Content Writer and Graphic Designer.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Build, plan, implement and manage the overall social media marketing strategy and content
  • Create video content for Social Media, Email marketing and website use. Edit video content.
  • Compose and post social media messaging in support of defined activities
  • Ensure content is impactful, engaging, relevant to target audience and meets company objectives
  • Schedule social posts on a daily and weekly basis using scheduling software
  • Support the delivery of paid and organic social media campaigns focusing on brand, service and product business objectives.
  • Manage paid social media budgets and advertising spend effectively, ensuring ROI. Focus on growth in followers and engagement
  • Develop and grow the businesses multiple and established social media channels, in particular LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology and best practices, conduct in-depth competitor review and present findings
  • Manage and oversee all social media marketing channels and accounts
  • Liaise with key individuals and teams throughout the organisation to better understand priorities, projects and initiatives. Post on their behalf.
  • Measure ROI and KPIs and produce regular reports to share with senior management.
  • Manage and improve online content, considering SEO and Google Analytics  Build an inbound social media marketing plan
  • Forecast performance trends, test, measure and evaluate social media activity using UTMs, Google Analytics and other insight tools.
  • Motivate the rest of the marketing team to achieve goals
  • Work closely with the Web Manager and Content Writer to achieve company objectives
  • Monitor social media activity to maintain an awareness of emerging trends and reputational risk, engaging with audiences where appropriate
  • Adhere to companywide policies and procedures
  • Attend regular task and performance review meetings

Person Specification:

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, websites, digital technology and emerging developments and trends.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to write for a range of audiences and channels.
  • An interest in energy, sustainability, environment and helping people / businesses.
  • Good research skills and the ability to analyse and present information.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles and strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely or part of a team, taking responsibility for key tasks.
  • Logical and creative thinking skills.
  • Thorough and organised.
  • Ability to work with a range of internal and external people and agencies.
  • A commitment to personal development, actively seeking out opportunities to expand your knowledge and skillset, implementing what you have learned in your daily role.
  • An interest in AI and how it can help create impactful, engaging content that can covert at a higher success rate.

Qualifications and experience:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Social Media Executive, developing and implementing social media strategies
  • Good knowledge of all different social media channels
  • Good knowledge and experience with online marketing tools and best practices
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience of using social media scheduling and analysis software
  • Familiarity with and understanding of web design principles
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on a company’s success
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Degree or extensive experience in Marketing, Digital technologies, Journalism or relevant field

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
