We are actively seeking a talented Global Social Media Manager to join our team at our headquarters in Newcastle upon Tyne. Your role will be pivotal in further establishing and expanding the renowned Tommee Tippee brand.
This role will be based at our Global Headquarters located in Newcastle Upon Tyne and will be required to work in the office three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).
As the new Global Social Media Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing and owning our global social strategy, creating the blueprint for all our markets to follow.
You’ll have full responsibility for our home market (UK) channels, working with the local team to understand their brand and business needs and turning that into highly effective social plans. That means you’ll be the genius behind the UK Facebook and Instagram accounts, curating content plans and managing our community, fostering brand love amongst new mums and dads. You’ll then share that plan with Social Media Managers in our core markets around the world, setting best practice and helping them to shape their plans inspired by yours.
Similarly, you’ll own our global TikTok account, owning the content calendar and community management. You’ll explore the ever-growing TikTok features like TikTok Shop and CreatorMarketplace and be our in-house expert.
From your global strategy you’ll set the guidelines as to how we monitor and track our reporting, making sure we can clearly see how social media is benefiting the brand and wider business.

What you will be doing:
- Develop and own the Global Social Media Strategy, setting the direction for travel for how the entire global brand can win in social.
- Build a creative social media content plan for UK that will increase our brand reach and engagement, which will act as a blueprint for other core markets.
- Work alongside your Brand Content team mates to brief the creation of all the content we need.
- Manage and deliver the day-to-day calendar of activity across all central social media platforms for UK (FB + IG)
- Community management of central channels to make sure all our followers get timely responses (FB + IG)
- Manage the global Tommee Tippee TikTok account, curating a content calendar, managing the activation and community management of our newest channel.
- You’ll be the go-to for social, advising the team and wider business on best practice.
- You’ll track the performance of activity to be able to build a picture of how our organic channels support business and brand objectives and be able to make improvements where necessary.
- Responsible for how we launch our campaigns through social media channels.
- You’ll be a channel guardian across all branded social channels, supporting regional teams on best practice.
What skills and experiences you’ll need to ace this job:
- You’re a social media expert and have experience of running branded social accounts on FB, IG and TikTok
- You know the latest trends, living and breathing internet culture.
- You’ll be full of ideas and can communicate your creative thoughts into clear briefs.
- You love writing and are confident with social captions and responding to our community directly.
- You’re naturally curious and want to challenge the status quo by bringing your own ideas to the table.
- You’ve got experience using social schedulers and apps that help you manage the day-to-day of running social accounts.
- A great communicator
- 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role
