Head of Social Media
We’re currently looking for an experienced and driven Head of Social Media to join our fast-paced and friendly Social Media team, within a thriving Marketing Agency in Hatfield, Herts. We specialise in the world of retail, destination, and leisure; so no two days are ever the same!
You will lead and manage our Social Media offering, whilst supporting and providing guidance for the current team. You’ll do this whilst working closely with the rest of our friendly team to deliver quality campaigns and content for our clients across all channels.
Package offered:
- Salary of up to £36,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
- 23 days holiday, plus day off on your Birthday, plus office shut down between Christmas and New Year (not taken as part of your annual leave). Holiday allowance also increases as you stay with the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to increase awareness and engagement for our clients
- Manage and grow social media channels, ensuring consistent and compelling content that aligns with the client's identity
- Use social media management tools to schedule posts, track performance, and generate reports on key metrics
- Stay informed about social media trends, tools, and best practices, and share insights with the team to continuously improve social media strategies
- Implement paid media within strategies
- Maintain a good client relationship, including monthly on-site meetings (regular travel required)
- Monitoring of social media channels and acting on any engagement appropriately (some out of hour’s cover may be required)
- General team/admin support
- Social Media Training sessions for businesses who may need some guidance
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Microsoft Office/Google Docs
- In-depth knowledge and experience of various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn)
- Experience in managing and coaching team members
- Hootsuite (or similar scheduling platforms)
- Canva
- Strong analytical abilities
- Experience with paid social media advertising
- Proven ability to increase social statistics
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple social media accounts
- Previous experience in working with clients
Personal Spec:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field
- At least 3-4 years' experience as a Social Media Manager
- Excellent written content skills
- Confident communicator with clients
- Excellent team-working, collaboration and networking skills
- Highly motivated and committed with a strong work ethic
- Retail knowledge or affinity with shopping venues / fashion destinations (desired but not essential)
- Good music taste for the office Spotify playlist!

Education:
- Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)
