The Team
Social media is an incredibly powerful communications channel. As a member of the Social Team, you will be a champion for ASOS’s social channels (inclusive of venture), ensuring we consistently publish great native content, developing our creative approach and focusing on innovation on existing and emerging platforms.
The Social Team, which you will be a part of, sits within the marketing department is responsible for managing and creating content for ASOS’s branded social presences inclusive of Topshop, Topman and Collusion.
The Role
As part of the Global Social Team, you’ll be a key player in the animation of the brand presence on various social channels, for our customers in all territories..
This role will support the Senior Social Strategy Analyst in documenting and communicating both channel and audience insight as well as well as supporting the Senior Managers with building our social media strategy.
This role will create audience-focused reports for ASOS social channels both on a regular (i.e. monthly) and irregular basis (i.e. post-campaign). You will also be required to support the wider Data Analytics team who will report at a business wide level.
What You'll Be Doing
- Utilising our reporting tools to create great, audience-focused reports for all our social performance.
- Provide analysis of what's working and what's not working and feed that back to the creative team to inform their creative output and publishing schedules.
- Working with the Social Managers to iterate the strategies for each of ASOS’ social platforms based on the channels structure, algorithm changes and audience behaviour.

- Support with amending the strategies for each of ASOS’ social platforms, working with the Senior Social Strategy Analyst and the Head of Social and Content to ensure they are aligned with overall business and brand goals
- Liaising with the content creators to ensure content is optimised for reporting – ie through tagging.
- Spotting gaps in our reporting schedule and, working with the Senior Social Strategy Analyst, investigating new tools that can support.
- Joining the dots between reporting and action, working closely with the social team to support them in achieving this aim
- Actively creating a culture of best-practice within the team.
- Work with the Senior Social Strategy Analyst to ensure we have a joined-up approach to reporting on organic and paid content.
- Assessing the performance of our competitors in order to provide comeplling industry benchmarks
We'd Like To Meet
- You will have experience at a social platform, PR/content/media agency or brand, and will have an understanding of how to build audiences and seed content. Some specific skills we’re looking for include:
- Experience in writing social media reports across BAU and campaigns.
- Experience in building and presenting social content strategies.
- An enthusiasm for social and digital trends and culture.
- An understanding of audiences, what makes them tick and how to create them.
