What you’ll be doing

We have an excellent new opening ready for a passionate Social Media Executive, someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to further develop and someone who possesses the desire to engage our customers as you grow with us.

As the Social Media Executive you'll have the opportunity to play a critical role within the Thames Water Brand and Marketing team to create content that aligns with our corporate narrative and improves stakeholder and customer perception.

We are keen to hear from Social Media enthusiast's who have a passion for everything social and are customer-focused with strong experience in delivering successful, effective social content and campaigns and can effectively manage our online non-service community.

Within this role, your key accountabilities will include:

  • Understanding the needs and upcoming plans of the business and creating a planned calendar of content that is on brand, channel optimised to deliver against objectives and KPIs.
  • Deciding what creative resource is needed and brief content needs and requirements into the internal Creative Hub team or external creative agency as necessary.
  • Delivering weekly/monthly reports on all social activity and optimising future content accordingly.
  • Engaging and managing the online community and actively engaging on non-service-related posts. Create a positive experience and improve sentiment and advocacy.
  • Reacting to emerging comms needs and unplanned activity to manage risks and take opportunities when available.
  • Briefing social service agents on planned content, providing ToV guidance and messaging docs where appropriate.
  • Working with other departments to develop social media timelines coinciding with ad campaigns, new initiatives, or other brand messages.
  • You will be expected to support the out-of-hours incident management rota.

What you should bring to the role

  • Previous relevant experience managing social media marketing campaigns.
  • Experience within a previous role supporting social media strategy and delivery.
  • Extensive knowledge of social media platforms and the delivery of content across them (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn)
  • Excellent copywriting and proofing skills
  • An able and experienced multi-tasker, able to handle deadline-driven priorities and a complex workload.
  • A passion for understanding our customers and their needs to provide client satisfaction.
  • A real team player with the ability to work with various stakeholders and the ability to negotiate and influence.

This is a permanent position offering from £30,000 to £40,000 per annum depending on knowledge and experience
