The role:
Looking for a motivated junior social media executive to join our rapidly expanding marketing team, helping to ensure best in class delivery of our social media strategy.
As part of a fast-growing team, this execution-focused role will offer real responsibility and rapid potential career advancement and is ideal for a junior social media executive with 1-2 years of experience or a recent marketing graduate looking to gain experience in social media as we scale our business
Key Accountabilities:
To ensure the successful execution of our social media plans and strategy across our UK owned social media channels, as well as growing and nurturing our online community.
What you’ll be doing:
● Work collaboratively with SSM&CM to brainstorm social content ideas and put together a monthly social media plan based on insights, key social media trends, performance insights from previous month and key search information making sure our calendars are hyper relevant and engaging.
● Work with graphic designers on creative briefs, feeding back with amends, ensuring that all projects are executed to the best standard and meet social media best practices.
● Manage ambassadors and creators, briefing them monthly, feeding back with amends. Making sure all content is delivered to a high standard and meets channel best practices.
● Schedule all social posts working closely with Content Writer for social captions. Making sure captions, hashtags, audio tracks and content are all optimised for social search/ trends.
● Work with our freelance influencer manager to help source, outreach and gift to key influencers within our demographic. Scout new nano ambassadors into our program.
● Community manage all social channels working closely with Customer Care Lead, looking for new opportunities and collaborations.
● Review all incoming UGC and earned media (influencer ads) for reposting.
● Utilise our team collaboration platforms including Asana and Slack to work to projects and deadlines.
● Assist SSM&CM with monthly social media report.
● Support and amplify wider marketing initiatives such as store launches, brand partnerships, events, NPD launches, and celebrity / expert collaborations.
What you’ll need:
● 1+ year in a similar role, or graduation from a relevant marketing degree
● A very high attention to detail and strong organisational skills
● Excellent written skills
● Community management experience
● Strong understanding of channel formats/ ratios and best practices specifically for Instagram and TikTok
● Knowledge of social media marketing and influencer marketing
● Experience using a social management tool
● Basic understanding of social media metrics and basic reporting skills
● Finger on the pulse of what is trending in the world of social media
● Passionate about a career in social media, can seek out new opportunities, willing to test and learn with new formats and keeps themselves up-to-date on platform updates
● Experience of working to a deadline on projects with multiple stakeholders
● Flexibility in managing new challenges / changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
● Strong communicator who can update key stakeholders, customers and brand partners confidently
What we would like you to have:
● Understanding of google analytics, google trends and LinkTree
● Understanding of social ecommerce in particular experience with Instagram/ TikTok shop and Shopify
● Experience/ interest working within a consumer brand / baby brand / nutrition brand
