We are looking for a talented Social Media Executive to join our industry leading travel and leisure business driving the growth and development of our two key brands, Caledonian Travel and ukbreakaways.
In this brand-new role, you will support the Social Media Manager to drive forward brand awareness through our social media channels and ultimately increasing sales and new customer acquisition, whilst keeping the customers at the heart of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Social Media Manager to create and schedule content across owned Caledonian Travel and ukbreakaways social channels (Facebook, Instagram and TikTok)
- Supporting the Social Media Manager in Reporting the impact of our Social Media activity
- Cross-channel community management - supporting to deliver our customer charter and desired response times / to maintain high level service
- Sourcing high quality User Generated Content - adhering to copyright compliance
- Management of service review sites including Feefo, Trustpilot and Google
- Liaising with internal departments to align content with company objectives
- Liaising with external agencies where required
- Collaborating with influencers to activate brand campaigns and reach new audiences
Qualities/Experience Required
- A minimum of 12+ months first-hand experience in social media or digital marketing
- Passionate about travel and social media
- Creative, forward thinking and able to think outside of the box
- A confident, high-energy can-do attitude
- A strong and organised planner
- Attention to detail
- Relish in a fast-paced B2C environment, able to manage various social channels at once
- Understands the different features and optimisations of each social platform
- We’re looking for an excellent communicator, able to quickly adopt our brand tone of voice Writing witty captions and coming up with clever puns should be second nature
- Great team player happy to get stuck in with other marketing tasks where required
- An understanding of wider marketing channels & strategies
Desirable experience / skills:
- Design experience
- Video editing skills would be a huge bonus
- Some experience of using Google Analytics
- Experience using Meta Business Suite and Ads Manager
- Adept at creating Instagram Reels and TikTok videos#
