Join us as our new Social Media Executive at BBC TV, Publishing! This exciting continuing position, based at the iconic London Broadcasting House, offers a fantastic opportunity to work on BBC Television's biggest social media accounts across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Twitter, including @BBC, @BBCiPlayer and @BBCOne.
As a Social Media Executive, you'll work in a dynamic, close-knit team to drive engagement and growth for our social media accounts, while staying ahead of industry trends, best practices, and leveraging your data-driven insights and expertise in spreadsheets for planning and reporting.

Main ResponsibilitiesIn this dynamic role, you'll have the chance to develop your editorial, strategic, and data-driven skills as the Social Media Executive for some of the BBC's flagship social accounts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving engagement and growth for high-profile social media accounts, ensuring strategic alignment, and meeting audience expectations across all platforms and formats.
- Mentoring and supporting Social Media Coordinators, guiding their decisions and addressing daily queries.
- Crafting compelling cross-platform copy and eye-catching thumbnails using Photoshop.
- Collaborating effectively with content suppliers, communicating platform and account strategies, and publishing requirements.
- Leveraging your expertise in data analysis, spreadsheets, and related apps to develop informed content plans based on planned events, cultural moments, and BBC priorities.
- Proposing content requests to our Campaign and Production teams using data-driven insights and platform performance.
- Staying ahead of the curve by testing and preparing for upcoming social platform features and performance enhancements.
- Analyzing and optimizing current platform features and performance using data analysis and spreadsheet tools.
- Reporting social performance metrics and sharing insights to drive continuous improvement through data visualization and spreadsheet reports.
Please note that flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays may be required to align social media activity with audience behaviors and usage.

- A love for television and a comprehensive understanding of the BBC's on-air and social media output.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Premiere, and Media Encoder.
- Familiarity with ideal technical image and video formats for social media.
