As a key part of our end-to-end customer experience management, ASOS marketing covers a breadth of tactics, stretching across loyalty marketing, culturally relevant brand content, pay-for-performance marketing, local trade marketing, broad reach advertising, and influencer marketing to name a few. We utilise several measurement practices, but primarily rely on continual controlled experiments as our primary ‘source of truth’ in measuring marketing investment return.
Our teams and activities align and integrate cross-functionally with shared objectives to manage autonomous teams. And of course, we strive to continually evolve pushing outside industry convention through creative experimentation, marketing tech, and advanced data applications.
The Role:
As our Social Media Exec you’ll be responsible for leading the creation of world class social content on our suite of social channels. Working with the Social Media Manager, you’ll manage key business areas such as fashion, Face+Body, Sneakerbrands and Activewear and will develop and help execute exciting content franchise and one-off posts for all channels.
What you'll be doing...
Mostly responsible for ASOS’ Fashion output which represents the largest portion of our content output and budget allocation and Fashion with Integrity (specifically body positivity, representation and sustainable clothing).
Feeding into and execute our per-platform social strategies, as set by the Senior Social Media Manager and Social Media Managers.
Working with the wider team, develop and execute ideas for exciting still image and video shoots across a range of business areas.
Working with the wider content team to manage the content calendar. Liaise with other departments within ASOS to share this, as required.
Creating and self-editing content for ASOS’ most nimble channels (for example, Twitter).
Editing and helping shape content from the Social Media Assistant, providing guidance and feedback as appropriate.
Working with the Global Sub Editor to self-sub, and to maintain and manage to global tone of voice across all content.
Working with the Social Insights Assistant on social reporting, ensuring you are rigorously tracking the performance of all content and enabling this data to be fed into future channel strategies.
Working with the Social Insights Exec and the Social Media Senior Manager to implement findings from the monthly and quarterly reports.
Developing and maintain excellent relationships within the business.
Working with partner brands on developing and executing shoots for a range of business areas.
Self-shooting, uploading and editing content where necessary in order to maintain the smooth running of the team.
Ensuring competitor research and customer insight are at the heart of all our output.
Creating content for both organic, boosted and paid formats, with a clear understanding of the different nuances between the three.

Harbouring a real interest in social media platform changes and news, committed to exploring how ASOS might maintain a first-move advantage on each channel.
Impeccable organisation skills and the ability to keep projects moving and ensure deadlines are met.
Ability to act as an ambassador for the ASOS brand on shoots with partner brands and external agencies.
Strong numerical know-how for reporting and analysing stats.
An interest in fashion, trends and style and the cultural icons our 20somehting audience love.
