Job description
We are looking for a Social Media Executive to join our Brand and Content team, here at Age UK!
In this role, you will work alongside the Social Media Manager and Strategic Social Media Manager to create content aimed at growing Age UK’s presence across several social media platforms.
You’ll be working together with the various divisions throughout the charity to create engaging content that showcases the breadth of Age UK’s work, both locally and nationally, as well as managing the internal Social Media Content Calendar for all Age UK’s national channels.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to champion a comprehensive online presence and to develop digital marketing activity. We reach hundreds of thousands of people each week with our social content keeping our audiences informed and engaged with everything that Age UK does to help older people who need us the most.
It’s a fast-paced role, so we’re looking for someone who can work well under pressure whilst managing multiple stakeholder objectives. It comes with the opportunity to work across all areas of social media from content creation to managing online communities to running virtual fundraising events, no two days are the same!
This exciting opportunity offers hybrid and flexible working between home and a central London co-working hub, located 3 minutes’ walk away from Tower Hill Station.
Must haves:
- Strong experience managing social media accounts and a proven track record of creating engaging content for different channels and demographics.
- At least one year’s experience of a social media executive role preferably within the third sector.
- Experience in creating social media reports that are accessible to Senior Management Team.
- Experience using social media management tools including, but not limited to, Sprout Social, Hootsuite and GivePanel.
- Ability to create social media specific content using Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and software such as Canva.

Additional Information
There will be times throughout the year when required to work on weekends and evenings to deliver real time social media content.
