As the Social Media Editor, you will bring our brand to life online. You will love experimenting, analysing, and reporting on all things content and social. You will shape our content calendar in creative new ways to engage our international community of followers. To be successful in the role you will need a love for all things digital and you will have natural creative ability to communicate with a multitude of stakeholders across channels. Key Tasks
Content Development
- Own the day to day social media content calendar working with internal teams.
- Manage a shared content calendar to schedule, post, and share relevant content for a global audience.
- Lead in the creation, management, and reporting of all in-house Meta campaigns on a local and global scale. Work with our social agency in delivering larger-scale social campaigns.
- Grow and engage our target audiences with creative copy and content.
- Create platform-appropriate content across our main digital channels; Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, our email databases, and our website.
- Optimise creative assets according to the channel with a particular focus on video and reels.
- Working with a mix of internal teams, freelancers, and agencies you will lead the development of all social content, briefing photographers and videographers on images, videos, Reels, and Stories. You will manage and lead on a variety of photoshoots.
- Assist in developing or adapting content including blogs, PR stories, and email copy.
- Maintain a database of all created content.
Engagement
- Work with our Brand Managers on activating campaigns and initiatives across digital channels.
- Collaborate with our events team in bringing our events to life on social with original activations and ideas.
- Oversee the community management of all online profiles; replying to queries, interacting with stakeholders, and actively encouraging UGC.
- Engage brand-appropriate Influencers across our social channels.
- Implement a social listening strategy to grow our community and online engagement.
- Facilitate and encourage conversations on our key platforms.
- Lead on regular social growth activations.
- Create brand and product-focused emails.
Tone of voice
- Maintain our unified, consistent tone of voice across all our online channels.
- Actively utilise and expand our online style guide.
- Adapt content to suit a global audience across multiple platforms.
- Assist in creating brand guidelines on various platforms.
Trends & Monitoring
- Compile weekly and monthly global performance reports to track campaign results.
- Interpret performance data to provide insight, analysis, and benchmarking.
- Monitor trends in social media, online channels, and digital design.
- Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media campaigns.
Additional Tasks
- Support our Taproom Social Channels and Content Producer with social expertise and AdsManager assistance.
- Work across departments as required to create and promote content.
- Assist in Budget Management.
Qualifications & Education Requirements
- Marketing, Digital, copywriting or relevant degree.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within Digital Marketing.
- Strong competency in Meta Business and AdsManager.
- Meta/Facebook certification would be advantageous.
Competencies Required
- Knowledge of traditional marketing.
- Creativity and immersion in social media.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and analytics.
- Online copywriting experience for websites and emails.
- Basic technical knowledge of web publishing.
- Team player – strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in working within brand-led marketing would be beneficial.
