Job description
Social Media Content Manager
£30,780 - £37,780 per annum
We’re looking for an experienced social media manager who has expertise in working with entertainment content organically. This role involves taking the lead on content creation and delivery for several social media accounts owned by YouTube creators. Your main responsibility will be briefing creative and reviewing edits to ensure the team gets from idea to publication successfully.
The ideal applicant will be an engine of ideas with a special aptitude for devising new creative and testing strategies. You’ll know what it means to execute and deliver great content of all kinds and across platforms.
The Role
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing the media team and overseeing the quality of delivered content strategies on each creator’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok accounts;
- Helping to define and execute content strategies with the Head of Media and relevant Talent Manager for each creator, in particular, leading briefing, resourcing and execution of key accounts and proof of concept projects and activity;
- Briefing image, audio or visual content on an ad-hoc basis as needed for key accounts;
- Setting direction and working closely with freelancers, talent team and with creators to ensure content is of a high quality and maintains the creator’s tone of voice;
- Contributing to appropriate reporting across accounts and department-wide;
- Keeping up to date with trends in digital content and revising strategy and engagement tactics to best amplify clients’ content online;
- Supporting the on-boarding of new creators and updating creator-specific resources and guidelines; and,
- Contributing to the overall department strategy regarding creator acquisition and service offering.
You will have the option of working either entirely remotely, being based at our co-working space in Nottingham or a hybrid of the two.
We offer all staff 25 days annual leave excluding bank holidays, as well as inclusion in the company’s profit share scheme.
The Candidate
This role will not suit someone from a traditional social media background in paid advertising or having managed business accounts. You will be someone already immersed in social media in the creator economy or demonstrably passionate about content produced by creators and influencers.
You will be a creative spirit, always prioritising the quality, style and tone of your work over other metrics. You may have previously had a creative role or developed editing, design or production skills but will be happier now briefing rather than doing. Or you’ll have experience within an agency having devised campaigns and delivered creative. Whatever your background, you’ll be comfortable leading a team of freelancers and creatives to deliver every project.
You’ll also be someone who understands the beauty of organisation and data management to ensure the best work is done. This includes social media analytics as well as asset and project management.
YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok will all be very familiar to you and, although more unknown, you’ll be incredibly curious regarding other formats and opportunities outside these platforms.
