SOS Silence of Suicide is a registered charity currently based in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. We support young people and adults with their mental wellbeing, mental health as well as suicide prevention, intervention and awareness.
2023 is an exciting phase in the history of SOS, as we expand services and recruit for key roles to ensure the efficient development and growth of the Charity.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Media Co-Ordinator with a proven track record in this type of role. If you have worked within mental health before, this will be a definite advantage. If not, full training will be given to you. It is unlikely anyone with under 3 years’ experience will have the skillsets required to meet the needs of the charity.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days a week
Location: 3 days office, 2 days home
You will initially work from home whilst our premises are acquired, but afterwards you will be hybrid working – 3 days in the office and 2 days at home. Therefore you should be local to, or easily able to get to, Kenilworth (or within 20 miles of this location) in Warwickshire.

Salary: Starting salary is £30,000p/a
Brief Overview: Creating engaging and call to action posts across all our social media channels
Identifying new social channels where the charity may benefit
Analyse trends and deliver reports monthly
Engage with followers
Work alongside our PR & Google AdWords teams to create unified campaigns
Creating and editing video content for digital campaigns
Assisting with Podcast set up
Edit content for reels and stories
Increase followers, engagement and awareness of SOS
Ensuring relevant documentation prior to training is issued to applicants
You need to: Be fully experienced and competent with Microsoft outlook, and Microsoft apps including word, excel and teams and Adobe products
Be approachable and helpful in your demeanour and able to work to tight schedules under pressure
Be a great team player, able to build and sustain key relationships internally & externally
Be a confident communicator with excellent spoken and written English and someone who pays attention to detail, specifically spelling and grammar
Monitor trends & ensure important dates are reflected in posts.
Have excellent time management and organisational skills
