In this Social Media Assistant role, you’ll be joining a new and exciting retail brand who specialise in urban electric vehicles within the sustainable automotive sector. As it continues to grow its direct consumer business, it is looking for a Junior Copywriter to join its marketing team!


Job description - Social Media Assistant
Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, you will be the go-to person for all copywriting in the business. You will oversee all the inbound and outbound written communications. This includes responding to customer interactions on our social channels, writing our weekly newsletters, crafting ad copy and owning our blog content.
You’ll be based in our client's central London Head Office in Soho/Covent Garden alongside the marketing, product, and sales teams, gaining maximum benefit from working closely with a team of experts, sharing ideas, and making commercial decisions quickly in a hub of creativity.

Key responsibilities - Social Media Assistant

• Researching new content ideas through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject-matter experts, and in-person meetings
• Writing exciting and original copy and editing content for a range of marketing materials
• Collaborating with our brand manager and digital lead to craft new messaging and copy for the website and digital marketing
• Owning our email marketing machine
• Identifying key opportunities to drive trade
• As with all members of the marketing team, you will be required to help manage the store on a weekly basis to support our store manager from time to time. This is a great way to learn from potential customers and will enable you to feed these insights into your copywriting

Job requirements - Social Media Assistant

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work to deadlines and communicate issues in sufficient time
• An exceptional writer who constantly raises the bar to write fresh copy
• A candidate with strong ambition and drive to continuously improve
• Highly organised keen attention to detail
• Excellent work ethic and can-do attitude
• Interest and awareness of the wider environmental and sustainable automotive sector
• Experience using Klavio and social media planning tools is a bonus
• Excellent communication skills
