Job description
The IT System Analyst is responsible for the oversight of multiple in-store systems. While the position's primary focus is to oversee the in-store infrastructure, this position is also accountable for the maintenance and support of our restaurant operating platform, including but not limited to point of sale, inventory, labor, and reporting systems. As with all members of the Nando's family, the IT System Analyst will be expected to wear multiple hats, seek out opportunities to make Nando's and themselves better every day, and in general, be a good team player!
The essential functions of this position are mapped out below:
- Restaurant Support
- Work with users to define and evaluate business problems and inefficiencies that may be resolved through fixes and enhancements
- Develop documentation for user-audience as systems have been modified and/or new technologies have been implemented
- Develop and execute test and quality assurance strategies and plans prior to deploying updates or changes to restaurants
- Monitors support issues, ensures resolution via tickets sent to the help desk
- Communicate with site users regarding any system enhancements and or scheduled upgrades
- Provide system training and technical assistance to IT team and user community as necessary
- IT Systems and Team Support
- Analyze, review, and alter systems, programs, and applications to increase operating efficiency or to adapt to new requirements
- Communicate any defects to vendors and application owners, and coordinate testing and implementation of fixes
- Develop project deliverables, including project plans, requirements documents, design documents, test plans, and test cases
- Provide technical support of the application, interfaces, and any customizations
- Ensure that proper version control is strictly adhered to and operational risk is minimized accordingly
- Monitors system status and reacts to issues as they arise
- Participate in technical and functional training classes as necessary or required
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Associate's degree required, with a preference for Computer Science or related degree
- 3+ years' related experience
- Applications background with strong technical skills in the areas of networking and operating systems
- Background in hospitality industry preferred
- Experience relating business requirements into technical specifications strongly desired
- Understanding of Oracle Hospitality and Cisco Meraki software required
- Prior networking and point of sale systems experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
