SOCIAL MEDIA AND DIGITAL CAMPAIGNS MANAGER

Commitment: Two days per week with flexibility to increase capacity during campaigns
(two-four per year)
Pay: £230 per day
Reports to: Director of Communications
Contract: permanent freelance

The role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced social and digital media professional to lead on Evoca Foundation’s social media, including creative advocacy campaigns across various digital channels. The successful candidate will take ownership of our social media presence and be responsible for managing campaigns end-to-end, from strategy development to execution, optimisation, and analysis, ensuring our campaigns meet and exceed our advocacy objectives. We are looking for someone with a passion for creativity, who can bring fresh ideas and innovation to our social media presence in full, and who is able to work independently as well as with a team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, create and deliver weekly social media content based on the social media strategy and input from Evoca partners
  • Manage and oversee digital advocacy campaigns (two-four per year)
  • Foster a culture of creativity and innovation, encouraging experimentation and fresh thinking.
  • Where relevant, manage external agency partners, including briefing, overseeing, and providing feedback on campaign activities.
  • Take initiative and work independently, as well as collaboratively with the team to achieve shared objectives.
  • Lead by example and inspire team members to excel and deliver high-quality work.

Digital campaigns

  • Develop and execute creative and impactful social impact campaigns across various digital channels (including social media, websites and email marketing) aimed at raising awareness, driving engagement and inspiring action.
  • Bring cross-organisational programmes, design, content, and data analytics together to develop campaign strategies that align with our social impact goals.
  • Define KPIs and performance metrics to measure the success of campaigns and optimise campaigns based on data-driven insights.
  • Manage campaign budgets, forecasting, and reporting to ensure efficient use of resources and maximum social impact.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for sponsored content and funded social media campaigns that align with our campaign goals. Lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of all sponsored content and funded social media campaigns across multiple platforms.

Social media management

  • Take ownership of Evoca Foundation’s social media presence, leading on the development and implementation of social media strategy, and managing the creation and regular dissemination of content consistent with our messaging and branding across all platforms.
  • Work with the CEO, Director of Communications and wider team to develop and implement communications strategy and organisational messaging.
  • Identify key audiences, objectives, and tactics for increasing engagement, reach, and followers on all social media channels.
  • Create and maintain a content calendar that outlines the timing, frequency, and themes of social media posts across all channels.
  • Create visually compelling social media content, including graphics, animations, and videos, using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design programs.
  • Develop and maintain a library of social media templates, graphics, and other design elements that can be used across all social media channels and campaigns.
  • Use social media listening tools and analytics to identify key audience segments, understand their interests and behaviours, and develop targeted content and campaigns to engage and grow these audiences.
  • Optimise social media content for different platforms, considering factors such as image size, aspect ratio, and colour palette to increase engagement and reach.
  • Use paid social media advertising to increase reach and engagement with targeted audiences, ensuring that all campaigns are optimised for budget, performance, and ROI.
  • Explore options to work with influencers, partners, and ambassadors to increase brand awareness and reach, leveraging their audiences to expand our own.
  • Monitor social media performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions about content creation, distribution, and engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in social media marketing, including emerging platform.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines, including FTC guidelines for sponsored content and GDPR regulations for user data privacy.
  • In partnership with the Director of Communications, develop and execute a content strategy for a quarterly newsletter to engage and inform our audience. o Generate ideas for content – draft and create written and visual content for the newsletter, including articles, graphics, photos, and videos. o Assemble and issue the newsletter in Mailchimp. o Manage the subscriber list, including working to grow the list through targeted campaigns, analyse newsletter performance metrics and adjust the content strategy accordingly to improve engagement, open rates, and click- through rates. o Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines, including GDPR and CAN-SPAM.
  • Maintain and update two Squarespace sites o Regularly add new content to the sites, including blog posts, images, videos, and other media, in order to keep the sites fresh and engaging for visitors. o Make changes to the sites as needed, including updating branding, design elements, and other visual and structural components. o Optimize Squarespace sites for search engine optimization (SEO) to improve site traffic and visibility. o Monitor site performance and analytics, using data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions about site changes and updates. o Troubleshoot issues with the sites, working with third-party vendors and other resources as needed to resolve any technical issues or bugs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in humanities, communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Three+ years of experience in social media and/or social media campaigns, with a focus on digital campaign management.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing creative and impactful social impact campaigns across multiple digital channels.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with data-driven insights to optimise campaign performance.
  • Experience using Squarespace, Microsoft Office, MailChimp, Canva and other design programmes e.g. Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex ideas to a range of audiences.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, especially with regards to drafting, copy editing, proofreading and identifying and referencing externals sources of information.
  • Experience managing budgets and forecasting campaign performance.
  • Knowledge of social impact measurement tools and digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
