We’re seeking a Social Media & Content Assistant to support our in-house Social Media and Content Team. We have huge ambition for our social media channels – we want to be quicker, more reactive, more creative and more social – and this role is crucial to making that happen. You’ll be a hands-on, creative thinker, playing an active role in the success of our organic social media activity.
About the role:
Supporting the Social Media Managers and Assistant Social Media Managers, you’ll assist in content creation and platform management – including scheduling, copywriting, basic community management and publishing.
You’ll lead our global TikTok channel, ensuring it has its own content plan and approach that works for the audience. You’ll be on hand to attend events used to capture content that resonates with the BootsUK audience, building relationships with brands and influencers as you go.
- Support with the delivery of the @BootsUK social calendars, across all channels – TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest – stock checking, scheduling posts, tagging products and publishing content
- Support with scheduling and publishing content across our @BootsROI accounts.
- Act as our team ‘content creator’ – being quick to action content briefs from the team and self-shooting lo-fi assets for social channels.
- Creating social content on Canva.
- Lead our TikTok channel to ensure there’s a strong, unique content plan that resonates with the TikTok audience.
- Attend events which may sometimes be out of work hours, anywhere in the country, to capture content.
- Support with compiling documents and presentations to present and send to the business, that shows our social media and content plans.
- Conduct regular competitor analysis and inspiration gathering to ensure we’re producing innovative content in line with reactive trends.
- Be a key support for the social media and content team in the execution of all activity, when required.
- Keep up to date with key industry developments and trends, and ensure you’re feeding these into the Social and Content team.
About you:
- A real passion for social media, content & influencer marketing, and a real want to learn and develop in this area.
- Up-to-date knowledge of social media trends and platforms, especially TikTok and Instagram.
- An interest in health and beauty.
- A creative thinker – must be able to push the boundaries when it comes to ideation of social media content.
- Awareness of the commercial benefits of social media, and how this is measured and reported back to the business.
- Basic understanding of social media metrics and ways to measure success.
- The ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders internally and externally.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively adapt style to suit various audiences and channels.
- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects.
- Attention to detail and good time-management.
- Experience working with Canva is desired.
