Job description
You’re going to have a big impact on what we do, so you’ll be trusted to take ownership of your work. You’ll have time to immerse yourself in the community. To deliver a better today, and to create a better tomorrow.
We’re proud of our community. The care we give. The services we provide. The spaces we create. But we’re always looking to do more. Which is why we give our people the time, support and resources they need not only to do their job well, but also to help define the way we do things more broadly.
There’ll always be room for your ideas here. This is about taking ownership. And having the opportunity to learn, develop and progress.
Our Social Care Systems Trainer will positively contribute to the smooth running of the day to day work our Social Workers and Practitioners do. This is because much of their work relies on inputting data and recording on the systems, and as we have grown over the years, we now need to enhance our training offer, ensuring that our staff are supported in the best way possible with using the MOSAIC and Liquid Logic Case Management Systems.
If you are a Social Care Systems Trainer, or have worked in an Adults or Children’s Social Care environment with knowledge and background in training and are looking to move away from frontline practice, then this might be the opportunity you are looking for.
What it’s like working in our team…
This role is situated within the Quality Assurance Team and reaches across to the Service Applcation Helpdesk, Business Intelligence and of course the Social Care Teams where much of the interaction in terms of training will be.
We are a small and supportive team and believe in supporting and promoting learning and growth for our staff. This is very much aligned with Bracknell Forest Council’s values and behaviours: Inclusive, ambitious and always learning.
Every day here is different and sometimes the work is challenging however there is also time for finding creative solutions in collaboration with the wider teams.
You will be supported to carry out the following duties, responsibilities and training…
- To be responsible for designing, arranging, and delivering training sessions with staff across social care teams in a way which considers induction for new staff members, classroom refresher training for all other relevant staff and 1 to 1 on the job, or bespoke training to groups of staff when the need arises.
- To create a repository of materials including a Q&A section and demonstration videos of commonly occurring system issues and solutions which staff can access on an adhoc basis.
- To provide training to develop Liquid Logic and MOSAIC super users in the service and upskill support staff.
- To provide first line floor walking support sessions within social care teams giving staff the opportunity to raise queries and issues they are experiencing when using the systems.
- To support maintenance of accurate system user registers and work collaboratively with the Business Intelligence, System Applications, and Quality Assurance Teams to support data integrity, compliant with social work best practice.
The benefits you will experience are…
- An inclusive and social working environment.
- Flexible working opportunities including a flexi-time scheme.
- Generous annual leave entitlement
- Regular opportunities for development with internal and external training courses.
- A great office location next to travel links and the regenerated town centre.
- Internal sports and social club opportunities.
- Discounted leisure centre and gym membership.
- Supermarket discount.
- An interest free loan for a rail season ticket.
What we’re looking for…
We would like to hear from an experienced, enthusiastic and self motivated Social Care Systems MOSAIC and/or Liquid Logic Trainer.
If experienced with one of these systems, the willingness to be supported to learn the other systems functionality would be necessary in order to deliver the training and meet the learning needs of the teams.
