Southampton Living Well’s new and innovative way of working is transforming the traditional adult day centre model. We’re working hard to bring together local community groups to offer a wider range of day opportunities throughout Southampton for people to enjoy. Sounds great, doesn’t it!
When you join our team, you’ll make a real and positive impact to the lives of the people we support at our day opportunities, helping them to reconnect with their communities, form new friendships and love later life. We’ve a varied timetable of activities both in-house and out and about and we understand that everyone is different with unique qualities and abilities. We work closely with the individuals to design packages to enable them to take control over the support they receive.
Your new role
We’re looking for a resourceful, ideas person, who is fun and outgoing. Is this you? Preferably you will have an NVQ Level 2 in a care related field or willing to work towards this qualification and have experience of working with older people, and people with dementia. You’ll always be supported and looked after by your Southampton Living Well colleagues and wider Social Care in Action family, and full training will be provided.

- Providing quality personal care, which could include bathing etc. depending on individual needs, while maintaining respect and sensitivity
