Role purpose:
The Partner Markets business owns the relationship between Vodafone and mobile operators in 50+ countries. These operators are in markets where Vodafone has no OpCo or affiliate presence. The objective of Partner Markets is drive a competitive advantage for the partner in their market utilising Vodafone’s size, scale and innovation.
The Partner Markets business generates c€200m annual revenues. Partners are supported by regional teams based in Hong Kong, Auckland, Singapore, Dubai, Dusseldorf, Oman and London.
  • Provide best in class Business Partnering to the decision making process for Partner Markets (PM) and its sub teams. (Regions: Europe, CISME, Asia, Americas & Africa. Functions: Consumer, Enterprise, Roaming, SCM & Technology & Commercial.)
  • Drive effective financial management, process, controls and planning for the business unit.
  • Provide commercial, strategic and financial expertise to drive the best decisions and maximise the return on resources and costs.


Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Provide Financial Decision Support to PM
  • Challenge & provide financial advice to the team
  • Coordinate forecast/planning cycles
  • Review and improve current processes
  • Financial Management
  • Ensuring revenue recognition, cost management and working capital targets are achieved.
  • Manage budget (€200m revenue + €27m opex)
  • Invoicing and cash collection of €200m revenue
  • Drive Financial Excellence
  • Build relationships with other finance teams in Vodafone. (FP&A, Tax, treasury, Fin Ops, auditors (internal/external) etc.)
  • Provide expertise on all financial aspects
  • Earn the trust of senior management to give guidance and support
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
  • Proven finance business partner acting as a point of reference in an advisory capacity to the business
  • High level of commercial acumen and ability to identify and solve varied business problems
  • communication and presentation skills to ensure credibility with senior management
  • Ability to multi-task various projects and adhoc requests.
  • Experience in supporting a B2B unit is desired
