This is an exciting opportunity to build on our work in Rockingham Forest to conserve threatened butterfly species and their habitats in the East Midlands region.
The main focus of the ranger post will be to assist the Chequered Skipper Project Manager in the co-ordination and delivery of the ‘Chequered Skippers – Taking Flight’ project across woodlands that make up the Rockingham Forest landscape, working closely with volunteers, local project partners and the public.
Duties include guiding and managing visitors on the Chequered Skipper reintroduction site, recruiting and supporting volunteers, carrying out surveys and monitoring, and producing materials to promote the work of the project.
